| The Matching Game |
|
The Matching Game presents a set of choices and a reference,
then asks for indication of a match. The matching criteria
can be object-to-name, letters-to-sounds, letters-to-letters,
depending upon the game-- with objects and words drawn from
the associated book. This particular version is name-to-object,
with variations asking for comparison in both directions.

| The Memory Game |
|
The Memory Game presents a field of hidden choices, and
is played by finding matching pairs of objects. The matching
criteria can be object-to-object, object-to-name, letters-to-sounds,
letters-to-letters, depending upon the game-- with objects
and words drawn from the associated book. This particular
version is object-to-object.

The 3-Step Game is the basis of many Montessori educational
activities.
The three steps are:
1. NAMING (“This is a ______.”)
2. SHOWING (“Show me a _______.”)
3. RECALLING (“What is this?”)
